Bandsintown for iOS6

SL.jpg

Bandsintown has a large mobile presence, with over 1 million users of its native iOS experience alone. This redesign is a re-evaluation of Bandintown's presence on the platform in the wake of the introduction of taller devices with the iPhone 4S.

Design

Bandsintown's core experience is based around four interactions: Discovering a desired artists, RSVPing for an event, purchasing tickets and sharing events. In the mobile experience, Bandsintown features a tag cloud of artist names, with a slider at the bottom that increases or decreases the number of suggested artists. This redesign adds artist images to the tag cloud navigation, and the ability to RSVP to events inline, removing the need for users to navigate away from the experience of discovery to RSVP for an event.

Event pages were consolidated to surface only information relevant to users, and event sharing functionality was moved inline to reduce friction.
